Direct Line appoints Maz Bown as Group Chief Risk Officer

Direct Line Group announced that Maz Bown is to be appointed as Group Chief Risk Officer, subject to regulatory approval.

She will join the business at the end of this year, further strengthening DLG’s new management team.

Maz joins the Group from Aviva where she was Chief Risk Officer, UK General Insurance & Health. She is a qualified actuary and has over 21 years of experience, including leading risk functions in both the UK and Canadian markets. Maz holds a PhD in Statistics.

In her new role, Maz will be responsible for ensuring the Executive and the Board have a comprehensive view of how key risks are managed and controlled across the business.
