Deskbird secures $13 million to expand workplace management solutions
Deskbird , a Swiss software-as-a-service (SaaS) company specializing in workplace management, has secured $13 million in its Series A funding round. The round was led by ALSTIN Capital and AXA Venture Partners (AVP), with participation from existing investors including session.vc, Rivus Capital, and PortfoLion. This investment positions Deskbird as the highest-funded SaaS startup in Europe in the field of workplace management.
The funding follows a successful financing round completed in August 2022 and aims to accelerate Deskbird’s growth in the European market and beyond. The company has plans to expand into other regions, including the US. Over the past year, Deskbird has witnessed significant growth, with revenues quadrupling in the last 12 months. ALSTIN Capital and AVP are backing the company in its mission to become a global leader in workplace management solutions.
Ivan Cossu, CEO, and Jonas Hess, CPO, co-founders of Deskbird, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership. “We are thrilled to have found these two investors who want to join us on our journey and help us become the global market leader in our fast-growing category,” they said. The co-founders believe that Deskbird has the potential to be as influential in workplace management as Salesforce is in customer relationship management (CRM).
The Series A funding will also help Deskbird intensify its operations in the UK. Earlier this year, the company partnered with London-based Common Surface and has since acquired more than 150 UK-based customers. A third of the new investment will be dedicated to bolstering the company’s presence in the UK market.
In addition to market expansion, upcoming features will incorporate artificial intelligence to provide enhanced user and administrative capabilities. These AI-based features will offer decision-makers valuable insights into employee behavior and workspace utilization, ultimately aiming to increase workplace satisfaction and cost-efficiency.
