Dalma raises €20 million
French pet insurance startup Dalma has raised a €20 million Series B funding round led by Breega, with participation from Northzone, Anterra Capital, and Bpifrance’s Digital Venture 3 fund. With this latest round, Dalma has raised over €50 million.
Founded in 2021, Dalma offers pet insurance for cats and dogs powered by Seyna. In 2022, the startup covered over 20k pets and today that number has grown to 60k.
“This funding opens a decisive new chapter for Dalma in its mission to revolutionize pet welfare across Europe. Our vision goes beyond traditional insurance: we aim to transform the way pet parents care for their companions. This new growth phase will enable us not only to strengthen our presence in France and Germany but also to accelerate our expansion into new European markets.” – Alban de Préville, Co-founder of Dalma.
“Dalma is capturing a unique market timing and dynamics, combining a societal wave in favor of animal welfare with inflationary pressure in the broader veterinary sector. Their natural response: an insurance and prevention product for pets, which has already convinced nearly 60,000 owners. Breega is very happy to join this adventure alongside Alban and Raphaël.” – Benjamin Deplus, Partner at Breega.
