CorVel launches market-based medical bill repricing solution

CorVel Corporation has introduced Marketwise Repricing, a new medical bill repricing solution designed to help employers, insurers, and third-party administrators reduce medical costs by applying market-based reimbursement methodologies within existing bill review programs.

The Fort Worth-based risk management and workers’ compensation services provider said the solution addresses shortcomings in traditional network and repricing approaches, which may not accurately reflect local market conditions due to variations in medical billing across states, providers, and care settings.

According to CorVel, Marketwise Repricing uses real-world reimbursement data to deliver pricing that better aligns with local market dynamics and is particularly useful for out-of-network claims and jurisdictions with limited or no medical fee schedules.

The solution integrates directly into its existing bill review workflow and is managed end-to-end by the company. The offering aims to provide more consistent pricing outcomes across provider types and states while capturing savings that traditional bill review methods may miss.
