Cognizant to acquire Astreya

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Astreya for about $600 million, as it looks to strengthen its position in AI infrastructure and data center services.

The deal, expected to close in Q2 2026 pending approvals, adds Astreya’s AI-focused tooling and production infrastructure to Cognizant’s existing AI stack. The company said the combination will help clients build and operate AI systems at scale.

Founded in 2001, Astreya has spent years managing data centers, AI lab environments, and enterprise networks, including work for several large tech firms.

The acquisition continues Cognizant’s recent push into AI. The company acquired 3Cloud earlier this year to expand its Microsoft Azure capabilities and bought Belcan in 2024. It has also deepened partnerships with firms like Microsoft and Anthropic.
