CNP Assurances sells iSalud

CNP Assurances has sold its equity stake in Spanish insurance company iSalud to its founders.

Founded in 2010 and based in Barcelona, iSalud is known for its health insurance comparison site. The company also helps shoppers compare life and motor insurance.

In 2018, the French insurer announced it will invest ~€30 million in iSalud to help it grow while taking a 60% equity stake in the company.

iSalud manages close to 130 million premiums, serves over 220k clients, and employs ~200 people.

The sale will enable CNP Assurances to streamline its European operations. The Group remains present in the Spanish market through its CNP Iberia brand.
