Clyde Soon Available Exclusively on Shopify
The NY-based startup is a free extended warranties plugin for Shopify that allows store owners to offer product protection to their customers at the point-of-sale. It integrates with stores “in less than 3 minutes” and is fully customizable, giving store owners a share of the revenue. Once customers purchase protection, Clyde emails them with information about their contract, referencing the store they bought it from and the product. To file a claim, customers can call or go to hiclyde.com and work through the claims process with an agent.
Clyde, which is a product by Intego Co, is expected to launch in late March, in 50 states, with limitations in California and Florida. Also, it works with the “best insurers in the business”. The company was founded by Brandon Gell, Nick Scaglione, and Josh Scaglione.
By the look of things, this could be the first plugin of its kind on Shopify, the leading cloud-based commerce for SMBs with over 500,000 active stores. Btw, it’s operating in the space of Zinc.
