Chubb CEO zeroes in on AI shift as “agentics” begins to take shape
On the company’s Q1 2026 earnings call, Greenberg said Chubb’s digital strategy remains unchanged, with execution on track despite a surge in new AI capabilities.
What has changed is the level of attention. Greenberg pointed to “agentics” and enterprise AI solutions as the most important emerging themes, though he noted the industry is still early in understanding how these tools will translate into real operations.
“I haven’t changed my view of our goals… we are executing and we are on track,” he said. The technology is evolving at a rapid pace… what’s still emerging is how agentics actually operationalize.
Greenberg framed the current wave of AI as part of a broader push by large model developers to turn years of investment into usable enterprise tools. As those tools mature, he expects them to lower costs and simplify workflows across the industry.
He also made clear that passive awareness is not enough. “You can’t just be listening to others. You got to have firsthand knowledge. And otherwise, you yourself start to become irrelevant. So as a leader, all that’s on my mind.”
Greenberg’s view is that the real impact will come from how quickly companies can translate that potential into day-to-day operations.
