Chubb appoints George N. Nikolaou to lead tech hub in Greece

Chubb has appointed George N. Nikolaou as head of Chubb Business Services EMEA in Thessaloniki, Greece. Nikolaou, with over 20 years of experience in finance and tech in Greece and the US, will oversee the Chubb technology center initiated in 2022, aimed at enhancing customer service and propelling the company’s digital shift.

Chubb’s growth in Greece is evident with over 100 experts in fields like machine learning, cybersecurity, and data analytics. In June, Chubb introduced its Technology Associates Program and Women in Tech initiative in Greece, catering to young professionals and supporting women in tech, respectively.

Thomas Kropp emphasized the rapid growth of the Thessaloniki hub, citing the recruitment of local talent and the creation of a culture centered on innovation, opportunity, and continuous learning. He welcomed Nikolaou’s expertise as they expand their global reach.

The Thessaloniki center complements Chubb’s strategic centers in the US, India, and Mexico. Operating in 54 countries with substantial assets and premiums, Chubb provides diverse growth and learning opportunities for its employees.
