Chris Haines joins Volt Underwriting

Volt Underwriting announced that Chris Haines, one of London’s leading underwriters of Ports, Terminals & Logistics risks, has joined the firm to lead its entry into the class.

Haines has spent more than a dozen years underwriting the class, most recently as head of P&T for AIG in London. He was previously Class Underwriter – Ports and Terminals for Skuld.

“Volt was founded on our vision of building an underwriting agency that offers multiple products to support clients in the Energy sector and its immediate supply chain,” said Volt Chief Executive Officer Chris Allison. “Ports and Terminals was always on our road map of new products, and we are delighted to get someone of Chris’ calibre into Volt. This continues our strategy of bringing in best-in-class underwriters with specialist expertise.”

Chris Haines said: “It’s great to be joining Volt. The team are highly regarded and have already made a big impact. I am looking forward to working with them to build out our P&T practice, to give our brokers a quality service, and delivering the coverage our clients need.”
