CFC expands Tech and Media insurance in Australia

CFC announced the expansion of its Technology and Media insurance offering in Australia, introducing locally underwritten products alongside its existing global wordings.

The update allows brokers to choose between policies underwritten locally by CFC or the firm’s established global forms, covering risks such as technology professional indemnity, cyber, media liability, and products and services liability. The offering also includes affirmative AI coverage for technology and cyber risks and digital trading through CFC’s Connect platform.

To support the expansion, CFC appointed Stella Gilson as National Manager – Tech and Media. Based in Sydney, Gilson previously spent 12 years in London as a media and technology underwriter at CFC and will lead local underwriting while strengthening broker relationships in the region.

“Australia’s technology and creative sectors are thriving, and brokers are telling us they need clearer, more responsive support when placing Technology and Media risks. As the digital landscape evolves with escalating cyber threats, increased AI adoption and rising regulatory expectations, our expanded offering gives brokers the flexibility they need, backed by both local and global expertise. This is another step in simplifying the trading experience for Australian brokers, ensuring they have the choice to access the service they need. Brokers can now access both locally underwritten and familiar CFC coverage on shore, supported by the same specialist expertise behind every decision.” – Stella Gilson , National Manager – Tech and Media.
