Cate Blanchett plays her biggest role

Australian actress Cate Blanchett has taken on the voice role of Nadia, an online virtual assistant who can speak, write and chat online while answering common questions about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), a healthcare program initiated by the Australian Government for Australians with a disability.

Watch.

Nadia was created by New Zealand artificial intelligence startup Soul Machines, which last year raised $7.5 million in series A funding, led by Horizons Ventures and Iconiq Capital. Bottom Line: The NDIS currently has 40,000 customers, but Nadia has the potential to reach 500,000 disabled Australians in the future. Super computer.
