Carpe Data rebrands as Carpe

Carpe Data, a provider of next-generation data solutions for the insurance industry, has rebranded as Carpe , reflecting its focus on AI-powered insurance decisioning rather than data alone.

Founded in 2016, the company says its platform has processed more than 10 million claims, surfaced fraud evidence in more than 500,000 claims, helped carriers reclaim more than $500 million, and is used by more than 40 carriers, including nine of the top 20 US P&C insurers.

Carpe said it is using AI to accelerate software development, improve its existing data products, and build new underwriting and claims tools, including reasoning engines that answer underwriting questions in plain language and claims workspaces that analyze files and surface relevant facts.

“Carpe is no longer just a data company. We are a software company, a systems company, an intelligence company, and an AI company built inside insurance. Our Commercial and Claims solutions bring proprietary data, insurance-tuned models, and purpose-built reasoning engines directly into the workflows where carrier decisions happen. Data was chapter one. The next chapter is the shortest path from data to decision.”
