Car insurer Root is now available to Android users

The Columbus-based mobile only car insurer, which launched last year its iPhone app, has now announced the availability of an Android app. The startup looks to insure only good drivers and attempts to do so by having potential customers download their app, and drive for 2-3 weeks to allow Root to assess their driving behavior before it offers them a personalized insurance quote. And everybody is okay with this, for now. Moving on, if we had a crystal ball, we’d predict that sooner or later, Root will have to deliver a tad bit more on the ‘servicing side’. See below.
