By Miles introduces By Miles Connect

UK-based pay-per-mile car insurance startup By Miles announced the launch of By Miles Connect.

The new solution will allow drivers of connected cars to connect their pay-by-mile insurance policy to By Miles directly from their car without any extra hardware. Once connected, By Miles will be able to access to odometer and retrieve the number of miles driven.

The platform currently supports 10 brands.

“Nearly nine in 10 (85%) vehicles registered this year have connected capability and this is expected to cover every new car on UK roads by 2026. This means that, despite the global slowdown in production of vehicles, nearly 500,000 connected cars still entered the UK’s roads for the first time in Q3 2021.” – By Miles.
