Bupa pilots sports equipment lockers with Equip

Bupa has launched a pilot with Equip in Wimbledon and Merton to make sports more accessible by providing free equipment through digital self-service lockers.

Users can unlock gear via the Equip app, play at nearby parks, and return it when finished.

The initiative is part of Bupa’s Healthy Cities program, which promotes active lifestyles and urban green space regeneration.

To support the pilot, Bupa is running a September challenge: participants who log 6,000 steps a day (or equivalent activity using Equip gear) for 25 days will trigger a tree donation.
