Brown & Brown to acquire Caton-Hosey Insurance

Brown & Brown has agreed to acquire the assets of Caton-Hosey Insurance, with the transaction anticipated to finalize in early January 2024. Caton-Hosey, established in 1948 in Volusia County, Florida, is known for its personalized insurance solutions. The firm, led by Rex Caton and John Hosey since 1990 and 1993 respectively, will continue its operations in Port Orange, Florida under their leadership along with Barbara Caton. This acquisition marks a significant step in Brown & Brown’s expansion in the Florida insurance market.
