Brown & Brown acquires the assets of The Canopy Group

Brown & Brown has announced the acquisition of Canopy Group , a multiline insurance agency based in Le Sueur, Minnesota, serving over 16,000 customers. The Canopy Group specializes in personal lines and commercial property and casualty insurance for small businesses. Paul Borchert and Jeff McDonald will continue to lead the agency’s operations under Brown & Brown’s ownership.

This acquisition enhances Brown & Brown’s personal lines business and expands its small business commercial offerings. Brown & Brown, a leading insurance brokerage firm, has over 16,000 employees and more than 500 locations worldwide.
