Bravrr receives funding for digital wellness device to combat stress and pain

Colorado-based wearables company Bravrr Incorporated has raised an undisclosed seed round from SOSV and Greater Colorado Venture Fund.

Founded in 2016 and led by Brock Predovich, the company develops BruxRelief, a general wellness device that helps combat bruxism disorder (unconscious teeth clenching and grinding). BruxRelief tracks clenching and grinding behaviors from the temporalis muscle. This data is recorded, processed with AI and instant results are made available to the patient and clinician via a smartphone app.

“It was such a crazy period of my life. With so many things happening at once I was constantly worried about what would happen next. Waking up in so much pain each day was like an alarm for me… I knew the pain was a result of stress, I was clenching my teeth at night and I needed to do something about it.” – Brock Predovich, who four years ago encountered several traumatic events (motorcycle accident, dengue fever, ruptured spine and back surgery) within a four-month timeframe. These events left him completely stressed out, and that’s when he started waking up each morning with a pain in his jaw and a migraine.

Predovich went on to develop a wearable headband device, BruxRelief, that would allow him to track and alert him of his clenching and grinding behaviors during the day and night. This feedback allowed him to pinpoint the moment in which stress manifested in clenching and grinding so that he could take steps to reduce his stress and stop these painful behaviors.

The company is looking to expand into dental and medical markets.
