Blink to Strengthen Canadian Foothold with TuGo Partnership
This deal will see TuGo, one of Canada’s top travel insurance providers, roll out MyFlyt™ service, easing the frustration of flight delays for travellers
Cork, Ireland (7th November 2019) – Blink, one of the world’s fastest-growing travel InsurTechs, has announced today that it has partnered with TuGo, one of Canada’s top travel insurance providers, to support the roll-out of tailor-made travel solutions to its customers.
Announcing the deal, Paul Prendergast, CEO and Co-founder of Blink said: “TuGo is one of the most well-respected names in Canada’s travel insurance market. They’ve helped millions of travellers, and their reputation for service excellence precedes them. We look forward to enhancing TuGo’s travel products with MyFlyt service to improve their customers’ experiences when flights are delayed.”
Blink offers an innovative data driven travel disruption solution. Once a traveller registers their flight details, Blink monitors that flight in real-time. A flight delay that occurs to the registered flight automatically results in a traveller being notified. Real-time event notification allows for real-time problem resolution! TuGo’s customers registered with MyFlyt are offered choices that remove the stress and consequences of the delay, including airport lounge access if a flight is delayed by 2 hours or more, or a cash payout per traveller, which is immediately deposited into their bank account.
“As a customer centric organization, we’re constantly looking to improve travellers’ experiences, since this is TuGo’s Purpose—to help people travel,” Kathy Starko, TuGo’s Executive Director and Chief Production Officer affirms. “Blink’s passion and belief in revolutionizing the travel experience aligns perfectly with our values. We’re looking forward to expanding our services across the buyer’s journey; MyFlyt is a great first step, with a solution that eases the stress of travel delays for our customers.”
This partnership was a culmination of exceptional collaboration between TuGo, Blink and Red Consulting, one of Canada’s leading travel insurance and medical assistance consulting companies.
Established 55 years ago, TuGo’s dedication to travellers, partners and employees has made them one of Canada’s top travel insurance providers, servicing travellers across the country. As a Platinum Club Member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, TuGo has been recognized by the prestigious program for 7 years straight – acknowledging its innovative, world-class business practices.
