AXA and Marsh in £300 Million Bluefin Deal Talk
French insurer Axa is in talks to sell its brokerage network Bluefin to Marsh for a deal that may be worth £300 Million . Some 1400 employees are involved. The rumor follows a £375 million deal that sees Axa loading off its SunLife and Embassy pensions and investment business to Phoenix Group. Bottom Line: in alignment with Axa’s newish CEO Thomas Buberl’s plans to improve profitability by 2020 by pursuing a €2.1 billion cost cuts.
