Avail partners with Steady

Avail , the Chicago-based company providing tools, support and education to make renting easier for DIY landlords, has partnered with Steady Technologies to offer landlords rent guarantee insurance.

The partnership with Steady will provide Avail landlords across the country with rent reimbursement options should a tenant stop paying rent. Rent guarantee insurance through Steady covers any type of residence, from single-family rentals to multi-unit properties. Landlords select the rent guarantee insurance they need, choosing a period of coverage between six weeks and six months per year, and they can apply directly through their Avail account.

Avail found that over 80% of its landlords have just one unit with no diversification of risk, meaning that millions of property investors – many of whom are relying on their rental properties as part of their retirement or source of income – are exposed to significant liability if their tenant stops paying rent.
