Webster, MA-based local insurance agency Green Tree Insurance announced its partnership with Swyfft, a Morristown-based digital MGA that offers home insurance quotes “in seconds.” This is Swyfft:
This is telling a lot about the startup’s business strategy, which entails partnering with agents to drive quote flow. Also, according to the company’s facebook page, Northwest Insurance, Webb Financial Group-Lake Forest IL, SOS Insurance Agency LLC, Accupro Insurance Service, and ABA Insurance Agency are also partners. Even mortgage lender Eagle Home Mortgage is in.

BTW, speaking of Swyfft, it recently lost one data scientist – Gabriel Mitchell, which helped the company develop its risk estimation methods for various natural hazards from geophysical data sources, demographic statistics and first principles modeling.
