Asurion’s Tech Unlimited protection plan launches on Amazon

Asurion has launched its Tech Unlimited protection and support plan for Amazon  shoppers who buy tech devices using the online store. Those who enroll will have one protection plan for all eligible devices purchased from Amazon in the past and into the future.

Mobile phones are not included. Eligible devices include laptops, TVs, desktop computers, gaming consoles, and cameras, for instance.

Tech Unlimited covers drops, spills, and cracked screens for portable devices. All eligible devices receive coverage for mechanical and electrical malfunction and failures due to power surges or normal wear and tear. Coverage begins 30 days after enrollment and ends 30 days after the canceled plan.

A service fee will apply to claims on electronic devices with a purchase price of $500 and up.
