AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage for iPhone is available in three new countries

In 2018, Apple has extended its AppleCare+ warranty program for iPhones to include coverage against theft and loss. Back then, the added coverage was underwritten by Assurant.

Today, the optional theft and loss coverage is available in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, and three new countries – France, Italy, and Spain.

In these new countries, AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage has an extra cost of €60 upfront or €3 per month compared to the standard AppleCare+ plan. The program requires the customer to have the “Find My iPhone” feature enabled on their device at the time it is lost or stolen and the insurance will cover two incidents of theft or loss per year.

Coverage is underwritten by AIG.
