Apollo Global Management , Athene , and Motive Partners have acquired ARS , a technology provider specializing in guaranteed lifetime income solutions for the defined contribution market.

With the 65+ U.S. population expected to grow by 40% by 2050, demand for retirement income solutions is rising.

ARS’s Lifetime Income Builder technology integrates guaranteed income into target date funds, addressing a key barrier to adoption.

The deal allows ARS to scale its multi-carrier platform while continuing to operate independently. Its technology already powers the State Street GTC Retirement Income Builder Series, offering annuity-backed income guarantees across growing recordkeeping platforms.
