Aon appoints Simon Hawkins to global legacy team

Aon has appointed Simon Hawkins as executive managing director for Reinsurance within its global legacy team.

Based in London and reporting to Mike Cane, head of capital advisory for the UK, Hawkins will advise clients on legacy and run-off transactions and support the delivery of capital advisory solutions across global markets.

Hawkins joins Aon from Compre, where he served as chief operating officer, and previously held the role of head of legacy at QBE. According to Aon, the appointment reflects growing client demand for legacy solutions.
