American Modern names new CCO
American Modern announced the appointment of Eric Hunziker as Chief Claims Officer effective July 1, 2019. Hunziker will also become a member of American Modern’s Executive Management Board.
“Eric has had a long-standing career at American Modern and brings his extensive industry knowledge and experience in claims to his new role,” said Andreas Kleiner, President and CEO, American Modern. “His in-depth experience, combined with his strong strategic acumen and his outstanding track record in transforming the Producer Management department, will help further elevate our Claims organization as it seeks new ways to continually improve the customer experience.”
Hunziker has been with American Modern for more than 25 years and most recently served as Vice President of Producer Management. Since he began his career at American Modern in 1994 as a staff adjuster and examiner, Hunziker has served in various Claims leadership roles covering all key aspects of claims management. During the past four years, Hunziker successfully led and transformed the company’s Producer Management department. He also spearheaded the implementation of new robotics technologies to automate workflows to deliver a better, faster and more consistent customer experience to American Modern’s distribution partners.
“I’m excited to take on the challenges of this new role,” said Hunziker. “An insured loss can be an emotional time for our customers. The Claims team is the ‘face’ of our company, so getting the customer experience right the first time is a critical part of the insurance process. I look forward to working with the team to continue to build a best-in-class customer experience for American Modern policyholders.”
Hunziker succeeds Dave McNutt who retired from the company at the end of June.
