American Family partners with Empathy

Empathy, a startup offering legacy planning as well as services for people dealing with loss, has partnered with American Family Insurance.

Eligible American Family Insurance Life Company life insurance beneficiaries will now have access to Empathy’s platform. Beneficiaries will be able to get help with estate settlement, insurance claims, funeral planning, and more. In addition, beneficiaries will get access to emotional and grief support through expert resources, meditations, self-guided exercises, and mental health referrals.

“After the loss of a loved one, we know financial impacts aren’t the only hurdles family members are facing. We’re always looking for ways to innovate our offerings for customers and their loved ones. Empathy can help assist beneficiaries through the grieving process and beyond.” – Todd Fancher, AFLIC president.

“Losing a loved one is one of life’s hardest moments, and the emotional, financial, and tactical stressors can take a toll for well over a year. Grief is made harder by logistics, and logistics are made harder by grief, and we exist to ensure no one has to face either alone. American Family Life Insurance Company is known for its commitment to standing by families in meaningful ways. Empathy brings comprehensive support to lighten the burdens of loss for even more families.” – Ron Gura, co-founder and CEO of Empathy.
