Amazon UK adds a new insurance provider
Last October, Amazon announced the launch of the Amazon Insurance Store, which allows UK customers to shop for home insurance.
Ageas, Co-op, and LV= were the first insurers to join the platform and Amazon said that it will add more insurers to the platform early next year, giving customers even more selection.
Nearly halfway into the year, Amazon is now featuring a fourth provider – Policy Expert.
The London-based company acts as an intermediary, working with several carriers around home and car insurance. The business was founded in 2010 and sold its first home insurance policy in May 2011. Policy Expert had 890k home insurance customers (~4% market share) as of March 31, 2022.
