Agrible Raises $9.7M to Ease The Everyday Life of Farmers

Champaign-based Agrible, creators of the Morning Farm Report, announced that it has raised $9.7M in a Series B round, bringing its total funding to date to $14.15M . Also, it is still looking to raise $6M more.

The startup, established in 2012 to offer a farm-monitoring service, currently offers two main services. One. The Morning Farm Report is an email sent to 12,000 users covering 7 million acres, which details each field’s condition and rainfall, projects yield, predicts nutrient levels and suggests when to spray chemicals. Two. The company recently introduced Pocket Drone Control app, which hooks up with a farmer’s or crop insurance agent’s drone to take pictures from above a farm on a predetermined path. Three crop insurance agencies already use it to monitor just under 100,000 acres.
