Adoro appoints former Spot Pet Insurance president

Adoro Pet Insurance Services  has appointed Scott Taylor as chief business development officer to lead its employee benefits and partnership distribution strategy.

Taylor joins the company with more than 20 years of insurance business development experience, including over a decade focused on pet insurance. He most recently served as president of Spot Pet Insurance.

In his new role, Taylor will focus on expanding access to Adoro’s pet insurance products through benefit brokers and strategic partnerships.

Founded by Gavin Friedman and Tricia Plouf, Adoro currently offers pet insurance products in 46 states. The company provides accident and illness coverage for cats and dogs, with optional wellness plans. Policies are administered by Adoro Pet Insurance Services and underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company.

Its Spinnaker program is currently pending review in California.
