A word with Assurant CEO Alan Colberg

“I will never say unequivocally on anything” – Assurant President and CEO Alan Colberg has a sense of humor. Colberg is busy shifting the insurer’s focus to large consumer purchases (think: car, house, electronics), working with the people that sell or finance these products to create meaningful partnerships. Oh and don’t equate his business to that of SquareTrade, which he considers a “service contract company”. Speaking of meaningful partnerships, Assurant is marrying cyber insurance with cybersecurity by teaming with breach prevention company SnoopWall, a fairly young startup with $3.19 million in funding, that’s on a mission to protect SME from data breaches and cyberattacks.
