A Smart Car in the Palm of Your Hand

Meet HueCore , the New York-based connected vehicle startup:

Founded in 2017 and led by Joel Reyes, HueCore offers car owners a creative approach to protect and monitor their cars with the use of ‘smart frames’ that replace the traditional license plate frames. Equipped with internet connection and day and night HD cameras, the Huecore SmartFrames monitors activity around one’s car to deter and document any damages, and if impact is detected, users get a mobile notification with relevant information. The product can also alert when the car is being towed, prevent breakdowns with health monitoring, and find street parking.

In February, the startup announced a collaboration with Autonomous drone company SkyeBrowse, which uses drones for accident site investigation. As part of the partnership, the HueCore SmartFrames will automatically ping the GPS location to the nearest SkyeBrowse autonomous drone to be deployed in case of an accident. SkyeBrowse’s drone will then take a 360-degree aerial assessment, stream live video, and store a 3D model of the accident, to later have the data transmitted to the HueCore SaaS Platform, which is accessible for insurance clients.

According to its site, HueCore has the support and backing of Brinc, a Hong Kong-based IoT Hardware accelerator, and Christopher Burch of Burch Creative Capital.
