Riot presents phishing drills
Riot , the San Francisco-based startup participating in Y Combinator’s current batch, is looking to help companies with cybersecurity in a creative way. The startup is introducing phishing drills that allow companies to set up fake phishing campaigns on their employees to reveal weak links and help educate and train them to be more careful.
Through the Riot platform, admins can select certain dates to run phishing campaigns, and the platform supports fake notifications about a suspended account on Microsoft, Google, Dropbox or Slack, and a new shared document on Google or Dropbox to name a few. Admins get a dashboard to check the level of their employees and the actions or non-actions they’ve taken. For example, the dashboard will present employees who clicked on a link and those that went ahead and entered a login and a password.
Employees that failed the test can be assigned with a quick security training via a chat-like interface.
Riot also has an insurance angle as they plan to partner with insurance companies to negotiate better terms for cybersecurity insurance on behalf of companies based on their Riot data.
The startup is led by Benjanim Netter and plans start at $200 per month for companies with up to 50 employees.
Bottom Line: Your next cybersecurity partner.
