2016: the year I learned of legal insurance

I had the opportunity to speak with Bill Wallace and Dennis Healy on the subject of ARAG legal insurance. The Gist: protection for legal events. Think: home purchase, will preparation, estate planning, identity theft, adoption, consumer protection, divorce, and even that future dispute you may have with a contractor while remodeling your kitchen. ARAG legal coverage provides policyholders with access to (1) a network of ~12K attorneys, (2) a library of legal documents for those into online research, (3) a customer care helpline to make sure legal events are handled properly and (4) additional services such as identity theft protection and recovery, financial planning and caregiving support. All this for the average monthly premium of ~$20 plus $250 deductible. But that’s not all. It is super easy to purchase coverage online .

Bottom Line: ARAG, a leader in legal insurance. It said so, here. Tip: legal insurance can be a great cross-selling product and I’m looking at you, new entrants.
