B3i announces expansion; details scarce
Blockchain Insurance Industry Initiative known as B3i is planning to announce several new members in the coming weeks, and by 2018 could create an organization to manage contracts and claims. Recall: the consortium was set up last year by Allianz, Aegon, Munich Re, Swiss Re and Zurich to explore the use of blockchain tech in insurance. On the subject of collaborative initiatives – two more initiatives come to mind – the Automated Driving Insurance Group, which looks to take care of all things regulatory and autonomous, and Ruschlikon (value prop below), which looks to connect leading players to advanced back office processes. Bottom Line: in the name of collaborative implementations.
