Mobile Doorman Raises $6.5m Series A
Mobile Doorman , a Chicago-based software provider of custom mobile apps connecting residents and their communities, has announced a $6.5m Series A round led by Reimagined Ventures (RIVC); bringing its total funding to date to $9.4m.
Established in 2014, Mobile Doorman is a white-label app solution for residents and property managers currently serving over 300k apartment homes. Features include: rent payment, registering guests (or pets), creating lease renewal offers, sending communications and creating reservable spaces; to name a few.
One partner – TX-based Pinnacle Property Management Services, which utilizes Yardi’s software – has enjoyed a 50% increase in online rent payments thanks to Mobile Doorman. According to a case study, many of their renters are working-class families who don’t own a laptop or other computer, but they do have smartphones, hence the success of implementing Mobile Doorman, which can integrate with “major property management software and popular onsite systems so there are no issues changing your existing process.”
Bottom Line: An alternative distribution channel if the price is right.
