AV8 Ventures Launches €150M Fund Backed by Allianz

Palo Alto-based AV8 Ventures has raised €150m from Allianz for its debut early-stage venture capital fund to invest in seed and Series A startups in the US and Europe focused on the “machine-enabled future.”

With offices in Palo Alto and London, AV8 Ventures has a general focus on digital health, big data and artificial intelligence, mobility and enterprise tech, and is led by George Ugras, the former head of IBM Ventures, and Miles Kirby, previously a managing director at Qualcomm Ventures in Europe.
