Axa leads in innovation

Grab, the Uber’s rival in Southeast Asia, and Axa, the French insurer, have launched a usage-based commercial auto insurance coverage for ride-sharing drivers (since ~40% of Grab’s drivers drive about 15 trips per week) called Pay-As-You-Grab. The partnerships between MetLife and Lyft and Metromile and Uber, come to mind. Speaking of Axa, the company has launched a pilot with Traity. Think: “crowdsourced reputation profiling” where highly trustworthy customers are eligible for cash back. Provider of social media data and tools, Social Intelligence, is watching closely.
