“Since we launched Uber Eats in Colombo in September last year, we’ve seen a great response from all three sides of the marketplace – consumers, restaurant partners and most importantly delivery partners. Our delivery partners are at the heart of our business and we’re excited to be launching this insurance program within the 5 months of launching our operations in Colombo. We are confident that this unique offering, developed in partnership with Allianz Insurance will be beneficial for our growing community of delivery partners in Colombo. We will remain focussed on ensuring that delivery partners see value in partnering with us.” – Lead – Uber Eats Colombo, Bhavna Dadlani.
“We are pleased to note that the partnership which we put in place with Uber in December last year for Uber rides, has been extended to the delivery partners of Uber Eats as well. Allianz is an insurer known for providing insurance solutions to the communities exposed to high risks, as such we are confident that our expertise will help us provide an optimum protection to the growing community of Uber Eats delivery partners in Colombo. We look forward to working closely with Uber to develop more innovative protection solutions for Uber’s delivery partners.” – Managing Director of Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited Surekha Alles.
