Liberty Videocon General Insurer (LVGI), which is a JV between Boston-based Liberty Mutual and Videocon, is getting ready to launch a mobile-based solution that will “simplify the purchase-and-claims-settlement process in the home insurance segment” as some see a huge opportunity for expansion in India’s home insurance market as most policies are currently sold by banks rather than by insurers. All else TBD.
