Veritas Capital to Acquire athenahealth in $5.7B Deal

athenahealth, a provider of network-enabled services for hospital and ambulatory customers nationwide, Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital, have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which an affiliate of Veritas and Evergreen will acquire athenahealth for ~$5.7b in cash.

athenahealth will be combined with Virence Health, the GE Healthcare Value-based Care assets that Veritas acquired earlier this year, and will continue to operate under its brand and be headquartered in Watertown, MA.
