Recall FamilyPoints – the Shanghai-based startup, led by Ainar Abdrahmanov and Aloysius Kee, that looked to operate in the global $6 trillion parenting market by using blockchain technology. The Idea – a platform to allow parents to properly review products and services related to their newborns with a vision that included offering insurance come 2019.

Turns out, that due to changes in legal regulations in the US, home to the company’s second largest target market, the company wasn’t able to issue tokens or accept any money from investors. “We will continue working with our lawyers and national regulatory agencies to see if we can restart our TGE (Token Generation Event) in the near future.” – FamilyPoints, in a blog post published on Mar. 8.
