Y-Risk Launches Lead Gen Site for Gig Economy

Y-Risk, a specialty underwriting management company, announced the launch of GigProtect.com, “a new website that enables independent contractors to purchase insurance products and access investment choices typically offered by employers.”

“GigProtect.com is a one-stop shop for contractors working as freelancers, participating on marketplace platforms, working independently through staffing firms or running a small business. Products sold through GigProtect include a variety of healthcare coverages, life insurance, professional insurance, and general liability. As an insurance hub, GigProtect allows sharing economy platforms to direct their service providers to an insurance store for benefit protections.”

Bottom Line: not my definition of a “one-stop shop”.
