Erie Insurance Offers Home Sharing Coverage
Erie Insurance is introducing a new coverage to protect its customers who participate in the home sharing economy. The coverage, which can be purchased as additional protection, would apply if something were to happen to a renter or their belongings. Examples of losses covered include a renter who is injured by slipping on a wet floor or falling down a flight of stairs, or a burst pipe that causes water damage to a renter’s personal property like expensive electronic equipment or camera.
“For many people, their home is their most valuable asset. Our job is to help them protect it. We’re constantly evolving our products to meet our customers’ changing needs, and our new home sharing coverage is just the latest example of that.” – VP and Product Manager at Erie Insurance, Bob Buckel.
Home sharing coverage is currently available in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.
