BTIS Announces Insurance Technology Innovation Lab

Rocklin, CA: Builders & Tradesmen’s Insurance Services, Inc. (BTIS) is pleased to announce the creation of its Innovation Lab, focusing on the use of technology to impact customer experience.

“The engineering team at BTIS is always working on enhancing agent and customer experience from quoting to servicing through our technology platform”, said Parminder Saini, Director of IT for BTIS. “Our goal is to be the Amazon of the commercial space by providing a world class technology platform for insurance distribution”. 

For the last 15 months BTIS has been working on upgrading backend systems to include cutting edge micro services and API based technologies, which will enable business units to innovate and reduce quoting and binding process times from 5 minutes to 60 seconds.

“This focused approach to innovation has already delivered the ability to quote General Liability through API integration, which is currently available to 3rd parties”, added Saini.

The new Innovation Lab is working solely on enhancing customer experience by building and developing products using chat bots, machine learning, AI, coverage recommendations, predictive underwriting risk scoring, IOT, and data analytics, among several other initiatives. By 2019 BTIS is aiming to lead the digital economy in the commercial insurance space.
