The São Paulo-based startup was established in 2017 and is led by Henrique Volpi, Marcelo Torres and Diogo Russo. In addition to its residential insurance offering, Kakau offers what it calls “Assists” – 35 services to allow policyholders to clean their apartment, replace a lost key, bring in a plumber and even enjoy access to a pet feeding service! Like all things ‘legally binding’, limitations apply.
