On September 1, Thai’s Claim Di will be launching a new service called Claim Di K4K, aka “knock for knock”. Say a collision occurred, if both drivers have the Claim Di app, they could shake their smartphones to have their car insurance information exchanged and sent to their insurers for instant claim approval. Bottom Line: $2 million in funding put to good use. Speaking of Thai, Thailand’s Asia Insurance launched Pokesurance; an online only insurance coverage for Pokemon players that includes smartphone screen coverage, personal accident insurance, car insurance and/or motorcycle insurance.
