Munich Re Ventures-backed Sentra raises $150 million
Munich Re Ventures-backed Sentra has raised $150 million in a strategic investment led by Capital One Ventures. Other existing investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments and Key1 Capital.
Founded in 2021, the New York- and Tel Aviv-based company helps businesses identify sensitive data and control access by employees, applications and AI agents across cloud, SaaS and on-premises systems.

Its platform classifies data, maps access permissions and identifies excessive or inherited access. It also detects unusual activity and can revoke access or remove risky sharing. Sentra says it analyzes data within customers’ environments without transferring it elsewhere.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its security capabilities for AI agents, including access controls and automated responses to unexpected behavior. It will also expand sales and channel programs and enter new markets.
Its customers include Munich Re, Frontline Insurance and Lyft.
